About Software Farm

Since 1997, Software Farm has developed and maintained a suite of farm management programs that focus on practicality, accuracy and local relevance.
Our History
Software Farm was established in 1997 after the amalgamation of Properdata (founded in 1981) and Tarragon Computing.
From this merger, the first Windows versions of the programs were developed, including SimFini, which combined features from the earlier Finvloei and Agrifin systems. Over time, additional programs were added to support various aspects of farm management.
All operations are managed from our offices in Pretoria.

Our mission is to maintain dependable, practical agricultural software while providing consistent service and support to our users.
We focus on ensuring that existing systems remain functional, licensed and supported for as long as possible.
What We Do
Software Farm develops and supplies specialised Windows-based software for agricultural users. Our programs have supported farmers, co-operatives, and consultants across South Africa for more than two decades, providing stable, dependable tools for managing farm finances, livestock and production data.
We continue to serve a loyal community who rely on our software’s familiar design and functionality to keep their operations running smoothly.
Software Farm’s activities include:
- Developing and maintaining Windows-based programs for farm management.
- Licensing and registration of new and existing software users.
- Providing telephonic, email and remote support
- Offering optional installation and training through approved dealers.
We do not offer web or cloud-based systems. Our programs are designed for standalone or local network use, as originally developed.
Dealers
Software Farm products are directly distributed, or through a network of independent dealers and agricultural co-operatives. If customers choose to work through a dealer for installation and training, the cost of support will be set directly by the dealer.
